Disabled Student Advisory services are carried out in coordination with our university’s AccessibleEGE Coordination Unit. Students with disabilities who register in our department receive counseling services in all areas they need — especially academic, social, and cultural — from the day they enroll until the completion of their studies.

Asst. Prof. Dr. Hatice Deniz Canoğlu, who serves as one of the Accessible EGE Coordinators, is also our department’s Accessible EGE Representative and serves as our Disabled Student Advisor.

Consulting Hours: Wednesdays, 12:00–16:00

Support Areas of the AccessibleEGE Unit

• Evaluating the accessibility of the campus’s physical infrastructure
• Creating learning environments suitable for students with disabilities (exams, assistant services, reading materials, etc.)
• Supporting the social integration of students with disabilities
• Helping students with disabilities develop personal development plans
• Organizing awareness-raising trainings related to disability
• Directing students to available scholarship and psychological support opportunities
• Conducting academic studies related to disability

Activities Conducted Within the Framework of Social Integration and Inclusion

Since 2020, our department has launched a series of “Social Integration and Inclusion Conferences” to raise awareness for disadvantaged groups and has regularly organized conferences, seminars, and various events. A discussion platform focusing on the issues faced by disadvantaged groups and proposals for solutions has been established.
